“I thought I was going to die” says the supermodel
Supermodels have a knack for disguising their pregnancy woes. Giselle famously claimed how easy childbirth was and Miranda Kerr did it without painkillers. But now the Australian supermodel, 28, has revealed that when she gave birth to her baby, Flynn, with Orlando Bloom in January 2011, the labour was excruciating to the point where she thought she was “going to die”.
“I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body. I was looking down on myself, the pain was so intense,” said Miranda.
In a recent interview with InStyle Australia, Miranda revealed how “long and difficult” the labour really was. “I have never been through so much pain but I was totally present the entire time, focusing on my breath and meditating.” The model says the only thing that kept her going was knowing that if other women could do it so could she. But after the grueling labour meeting Flynn was the best thing.
